The transparent working office for the design team of the New SUB opens September 10th at 3:30 p.m., behind the Starbucks in the SUB. Come for the ribbon cutting and a piece of cake!
In June, 2010, the AMS announced that HBBH+BH is the architect for the New SUB Project. Schematic design with students will now begin. To ensure students are engaged in the process, the AMS and HBBH+BH will be running a series of workshops and charettes on topics such as student life, sustainability, student social spaces and green spaces. There will also be an on-site Design Cube (working office) in the south alcove of the SUB. The Design Cube will act as a transparent base of operations and conversation during the crucial early design stages. This will enable one-on-one communication with students and members of the New SUB Project team, and will be used to show design documents and keep the community informed on the project.
At 3:30 p.m. on Friday, September 10th, we will be celebrating this massive step forward with the Design Cube opening. The “ribbon cutting” will include cake for all, and a chance for students to meet members of the New SUB Project team.
When: Friday, September 10th, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Where: SUB South Alcove (near the computer terminals behind Starbucks)
