Summer is a good time to catch up on any self-care that you might not have had time for during the school year. Even though it’s summer, the AMS Sexual Assault Support Centre (SASC) is still operating full-time, and able to offer support, accompaniments, and advocacy to anyone with a connection to UBC including students, staff, faculty, and alumni. The SASC supports people of all genders, as well as those who may be concerned about a loved one who has experienced a sexual assault or any other form of sexualized violence.
We also recognize that since school is out, not many folks are making the trek into campus every day, and therefore coming to the SASC on campus might not be the most convenient. If this is the case, and you are still looking for support around your experiences with violence, you’re absolutely welcome to get in touch with us. We can make referrals and help you find a support service that is right for you, whether it is, a support group for folks who live with anxiety, local crisis lines, or even Laughter Yoga!
