AMS General Manager Steps Down

AMS General Manager, Ross Horton, has stepped down after eight years at the helm of the Student Society of UBC Vancouver.

“Ross has been a role model and sounding board to many executives and Council, has led our dedicated team of staff, and had most recently shepherded us through the challenges and excitement of moving into the Nest. I would like to personally thank Ross for his hard work, dedication, and commitment to supporting the students of UBC and the student leadership of the AMS,” AMS President Aaron Bailey said in an email to staff.

An interim replacement will be announced next week to fill the role while the process of hiring a successor unfolds. Both the current executive and Council as well as incoming members elected in next week’s AMS elections will be involved in selecting a new General Manager for the AMS.
