Student Life & Sustainability Centre
What is it?
Come check out your space, the Student Life and Sustainability Center is an opportunity for students to learn about our campus and the resources it provides, as well as an opportunity for campus clubs to collaborate in an open space environment in the heart of the student’s union, granting access to develop and strengthen the wide network of groups our students are involved in.
In addition to utilizing campus space, clubs will have the opportunity to use tangible and intangible resources from stationary and printing to event planning and leadership support through sources that contribute to sustainability of the environment and social natures respectively. With hundreds of clubs and counting, it can prove to be difficult when attempting to establish and acquire space, but through the SLSC, there will be opportunities to book space in an ideal location that attracts attention, as well as provide necessities to groups that are starting off and in need of the initial push.
Through our programming, we intend to have communal meetings with club executives to drive programming in our campus in order to provide quality services to the student body, as well as gather suggestions to improve our services such as through the equipment we provide.
Please feel free to find us on the AMS website; we have a calendar up of the upcoming programming available!
Let us know what you’d like to have available to help your groups. We intend to foster the connection between groups, in order to grow and nurture student involvement in our community.
