Appeal a SAC Resolution
Our clubs, constituencies and resource groups are administered by something called the Student Administrative Commission, or SAC. For more info on what the SAC does, click here.
If you’re not satisfied with an SAC resolution, you can appeal it. Here’s how;
- Talk to the VP Administration. They are in charge of the SAC, and communicating with them will help you understand how and why they made their decision. From this you can gather the rationale behind the decision, and the objective criteria the commission used to make its decision.
- Read the AMS Code of Procedures to learn about the procedures relevant to the SAC.
- If you believe that the procedure for reaching a resolution, or the resolution itself, is in some way unfair, talk to the Ombuds Office to ask for an investigation. Follow their Guidelines for Filing a Grievance.
