Donations

The success of this charitable service is dependent on the support from the community. Join us in being a solution to student hunger: organize a food drive, donate non-perishable food items, or volunteer your time to the UBC/AMS Student Food Bank!

Food for Fines

For the ninth consecutive year, the UBC AMS Food Bank is running their Food for Fines Campaign!

The Food for Fines is a joint AMS and UBC Library initiative to support disadvantaged members of the community. UBC Library users who wish to donate non-perishable food items may have $2 in fines paid for each food item donated, up to a maximum of $30. Food donations will be given to local food banks.

The Food for Fines program will take place in all UBC Library branches from Monday, October 22nd to Sunday, Nov. 4th  inclusive. Acceptable food donations include any non-perishable canned or packaged food. Perishable items or anything requiring refrigeration cannot be accepted.

Donations can also be dropped off directly to the library to get $2 waived for each food item!
