How Will You Shine?
On Saturday, September 8th, students will hit the streets of Vancouver: shining shoes, handing out stickers, candy, singing, dancing and simply asking for donations for Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Shine Day is a fun volunteering event to meet new students to UBC and it is all for a great cause!
Shine Day begins with a Pep-Rally: there is a free breakfast, a speaker who has CF will present, a motivational speaker presents and then volunteers are sent out to their various locations around Vancouver. And did we mention you get a free lunch and can WIN sweet prizes?!
Hollis Mason, a great student film crew will be on site on Shine Day. Hollis Mason’s Shine Day video will be in a national Shinerama contest, Shiners from all across Canada will be able to view UBC Shinerama, so come out and shine by helping a great cause. All students are invited and warmly welcomed to join Shine Day!
