How Will the AMS Respond to Reported Issues?

The following AMS policies will outline, step by step, exactly what the AMS will do to respond to issues based on the type of issue reported:

  • Bullying, harassment, discrimination, and violence: PC1 (Respectful Community and Workplace) outlines expectations and procedures for maintaining a respectful environment and addressing inappropriate behaviour at the earliest stage. The AMS has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, discrimination, and violence.
  • Sexualized violence: PC2 (Sexualized Violence) describes procedures for investigations of sexualized violence. The AMS also has a zero-tolerance policy for sexualized violence and is committed to educating and holding community members to this standard.
  • Unreasonable, unsafe, or inappropriate acts: Building Suspension Policy defines the Prohibited Acts (acts that the AMS deems unreasonable, unsafe, or inappropriate) that will result in the suspension or expulsion of a person from AMS premises, as well as how the suspension or expulsion would occur.
