Piikani, Niitsitapi member of the Black Horse Society, Maistoo’awaastaan (Crow Flag) is coming to UBC to speak about two-spirit identity and Indigenous Gender Expression.
A recent graduate of UBC, Maistoo’ is a descendant of a Hereditary lineage of human rights advocates, land defenders, environmentalists, educators, and historians, among other things.
They’ve been working in services for HIV/AIDS in Indigenous contexts and have been a strong advocate for Indigenous students at UBC during their with us at UBC.
