You asked for it, and so it has returned. Last Band Standing is back! That’s right, UBC’s epic three staged battle of the bands has officially commenced! UBC bands (and solo artists) will be showing off their talents to win the ultimate prize of killer bragging rights, a music video shoot, and getting to be the OPENING ACT AT BLOCK PARTY 2019!
STAGE ONE: Bands/Artists will submit two original songs to enter (deadline is January 31st), the top 6 bands that make it through this stage will then have a music video filmed. This will be on February 16th and 17th, ALL band members must be available on BOTH days.
STAGE TWO: Is a 2 week period of fan-based voting from February 25th to March 11th (polls close at 7 pm) the top 4 bands with the most votes will be invited to participate in the live showdown.
STAGE THREE: March 22nd – the final showdown (19+) at our very own Pit. Each band will perform and a panel of fabulous judges will select the winning band! The band that wins the finale gains an impressive prize pack including a $500 cash prize and an opener spot at Block Party 2018!
