What You Should Know Before Attending SCREAM: Nightmare Academy All Ages Halloween Party 2025

Costume Policy

  • Costumes are highly encouraged (but not mandatory) at SCREAM: Nightmare Academy All Ages Halloween!
  • Remember that a COSTUME IS NOT CONSENT. Please be respectful of drag performers, staff, and your fellow guests.

No External Food or Drink

  • External food or drink will not be permitted inside the event area
  • If you bring a water bottle or another food container, you must leave it outside the event area

Cash Tips for Drag Performers

At drag shows, it is customary to tip the performers. Simply approach the stage and give the performers some cash! To prepare for the drag show, come to the event with cash to show some love to the amazing performers. See below for a list of major banks/ATMs on UBC campus:

Security Checks

Before entry, all bags will be checked by security staff. This is for the safety of all guests, performers, and staff.

Coat and Bag Check

  • There will be self-serve coat and bag check outside The Great Hall
  • Keep valuables with you at all times
  • AMS Events is not responsible for missing or stolen items
  • You are encouraged to only bring small bags & items

Are Event Ins and Outs Allowed?

Because washrooms are located outside of The Great Hall, guests are permitted to enter and exit the event area as they wish – as long as they keep their wristband on!

I Have Multiple Tickets Under My Name!

Each ticket has its own unique, individual QR code. If you have multiple tickets under your name, prepare to scan ALL QR codes for each ticket. To expedite entry, please download the Bounce app or log into Bounce via the web browser on your device.

UBC Card Policy

All UBC Tier ticket holders are required to present a valid UBC card for entry. Please have your valid UBC card ready to present BEFORE you arrive to the front of the entry line. If you don’t have your physical UBC card, please present your digital UBC card by logging into your CWL at this link: https://services.ubccard.ubc.ca/

How to Find The Great Hall for SCREAM: All Ages Halloween Party

SCREAM: All Ages Halloween Party is in The Great Hall, which is on the 2nd floor of the AMS Student Nest (“The Nest”).

Driving to the AMS Student Nest (“The Nest”)

The address of the AMS Student Nest is: 6133 University Boulevard, Vancouver, BC V6T 1Z1

Passenger Drop-Off at The Nest

Passengers can be dropped off outside of The Nest off University Boulevard. View the drop-off location on Google Maps.

Where Can I Find The Great Hall Inside The Nest?

To find the The Great Hall, take the elevator or the stairs to the 2nd floor of The Nest. On the 2nd floor, follow signs to The Great Hall. You will know you have arrived when you see The Great Hall Foyer (see video below):
