Get to know the students running for leadership positions in this year’s AMS Elections.
My name is Gagan, and I am running to be your AMS VP Finance.
As the current AMS Financial Coordinator and former VP Finance of the Commerce Undergraduate Society, I have overseen multi-million dollar budgets and led initiatives to improve financial reporting and efficiency. My experience has shown me the challenges that clubs and constituencies face when navigating financial processes, and I am committed to making these systems more accessible and effective. My campaign is centered on:
System Enhancements:
Streamline financial processes by consolidating submissions into a single, user-friendly system
Work with Accounting and ERP providers to improve existing financial tools and reporting features
Transparency:
Expand the AMS’s quarterly reports to provide more insight and clearly show how student fees were used to benefit students
Work with fee-receiving groups to ensure accessibility of their budgets and spending
Club & Constituency Support:
Enhance treasurer training with workshops, video walkthroughs, and simulation exercises
Develop a sponsorship guide and better expenditure tracking tools for clubs and constituencies
