The AMS Clubs Recovery Benefits (CRB) is a three-part support designed to assist AMS Clubs both operationally and financially throughout the COVID-19 Omicron variant and the second semester of the 2021W academic year, administered by the Office of the VP Administration.
Clubs can apply for one, two or all three components of the CRB.
Online Collaboration and Communication Grant (OCCG)
The Online Collaboration and Communication Grant (OCCG) provides AMS Clubs with up to $60 CAD for the purchasing of online communication and collaboration platforms for club-related operations. The OCCG is valid retroactive to January 10, 2022 and will be in effect until April 27, 2022.
Eligibility
All AMS Clubs that want to purchase one of Zoom Pro, Slack Pro, or Google Workspace. If your club is interested in a platform not mentioned here, please contact the VP Administration.
Application Process
Prepare the following information: your club’s name, your email address, the platform your club would like to purchase, and your club’s 3-digit account code.
Visit the application form on Campusbase.
You must agree to provide proof of payment of the selected platform, upon request of the AMS.
Submit the application form.
Your application will be assessed within three (3) business days. If approved, the OCCG amount will be deposited into your club’s account within five (5) business days from approval.

Event Assistance Grant (EAG)
The Event Assistance Grant (EAG) provides AMS Clubs with immediate financial support for any event-related expenses, applicable to club events hosted in-person and online, covering 50% of costs, up to $200 CAD.
Eligibility
EAG is limited to funding one (1) event only, per AMS Club.
In-person: All AMS Clubs with a valid Nest or external venue booking confirmation. Event budget required.
Online: All AMS Clubs with a 100-word rationale. Event budget required.
Application Process
Prepare the following information: your club’s name, your email address, event budget without EAG funding, a 100-word rationale or booking confirmation, and your club’s 3-digit account code.

Submit the application form.
Your application will be assessed within three (3) business days. If approved, the EAG amount will be deposited into your club’s account within five (5) business days from approval.

Safe Events Package (SEP)
The Safe Events Package (SEP) provides AMS Clubs with bookings in the Student Nest with free N95 masks and hand sanitizer, distributed out of the Clubs Resource Center.
Eligibility
All AMS Clubs with a valid Nest booking confirmation. SEP is limited to three events per AMS Club.
Application Process
Prepare the following information: your club’s name, your email address, your Nest booking confirmation, the estimated number of attendees for your event, and your club’s 3-digit account code.
Visit the application form on Campusbase.
Submit the application form.
Your application will be assessed within three (3) business days. If approved, you will be contacted to make arrangements for item pick-up within two (2) business days from approval.

You should receive an email from mailer@campusgroups.com confirming your application(s) has been submitted successfully.
If you did not receive the email, check your spam folder. If it isn’t in there, verify which email is linked to your AMS CampusBase account by clicking the top right corner > Edit Profile > Basics > Email:
Notifications from CampusBase will be sent to the email address in the box above. We recommend using an email you frequently check, since this email will be used to receive your application approval emails.
Check the status of your SEP application
Within three (3) business days, you will receive an email indicating your application has been approved.
The “Approved” status indicates your SEP request is approved, and we are coordinating the pick-up of your requested items.
Samantha or Suzette will contact the email address used in the application, with a confirmation of your SEP request and specific pick-up details. This should happen within 2 business days of approval. They may also inform you about availability of the equipment as well any additional instructions.
Check the status of your EAG or OCCG application
The review process is the same for EAG and OCCG
Within three (3) business days from submission, your application will be processed and if everything’s good, it will be marked as “On Hold”. You will receive an email from mailer@campusgroups.com“On Hold” means that your application has been assessed by a member of our team and everything is all good. No further action is required.
You will receive an email confirming your application has been “Approved”, indicating that the funds are in transit to your club’s account. The EAG or OCCG amount will be deposited into your club’s account within five (5) business days from being marked as “Approved”.
We ask for your patience during this step. Funds will be in transit for a few days before arriving into your account. If it has been 5 business days since receiving an “Approved” email, please contact clubsadmin@ams.ubc.ca (cc: avpadmin@ams.ubc.ca).
