Welcome to the Commons + Clubs Resource Centre! We designed this space with one thing in mind: you! Students face the everyday challenge of finding a space to go with their friends, and we wanted to provide you with an option of going to somewhere a bit cozier than those plain old Nest tables.
Ever felt like you and your friends just wanted somewhere new to chill? Or maybe you’re meeting someone for the first time and want to go somewhere exponentially nicer than those Nest meeting rooms? Those were the questions we had in mind. After reviewing some of the spaces and campus and seeing how we could renovate this space to fill any voids, we decide to make it something truly special – a comfortably modern lounge space for students to connect. Come in during our lounge hours, and whether you’re alone or with some company we’ve got you covered with a space to go.
Event space
We know the Nest tends to feel the same no matter where you go, which is why we’ve designed The Commons Lounge to be versatile for clubs to host both formal and informal events. Clubs can book The Commons Lounge from 10:00AM to 4:00PM on weekends. Please submit the form at least 2 weeks in advance.
Free equipment rentals
This one is self-explanatory. Clubs – we know you need equipment to run your events! That’s why we’ve got a full range of A/V gear and more to help you fulfill your biggest dreams. Please submit the form at least 2 weeks in advance.
The last day of equipment rentals is on April 12th until further notice.
