Harm Reduction Services

Our Training team provides free Naloxone training + certification and free fentanyl test strips. We are also here to chat about harm-reduction strategies/substances.

Drop-in free naloxone training (BCCDC certified), free harm reduction supplies, free safe sex supplies, and free fentanyl test strips are available in NEST 3125 from 10 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday. Request a Workshop or Naloxone Training

If you would like the Peer Support team to facilitate a workshop for your UBC student group free-of-charge, please fill out this form. We’ll get back to you within 2-3 business days.

Our team currently offers the following workshops:

  • BCCDC Group Naloxone Training (60 min)
  • AMS Peer Support basics – Service introduction and brief mental health strategies (15 mins)
  • “Wanna Get a Drink Sometime?” – Introduction to alcohol harm reduction
  • “Let’s Talk Harm Reduction” – Harm reduction and substance use overview
  • “How Can I help?” – An introduction to supporting peers with mental health concerns
  • “Cannabasics” – Introduction to cannabis harm reduction
