U-Pass BC Exemption Form

You may be eligible for the exemption offered by the AMS if you meet the following:

  • If you live outside of Metro Vancouver AND all of the classes you are taking are online/not in-person on the Vancouver campus in 2024/25 Winter Term 1 (September to December 2024)
  • You can also be eligible for this exemption if you are a Co-op or practicum student living outside of Metro-Vancouver while on placement.

If one of these two criteria applies to you, be sure to apply for an exemption by Mon, Sep 23, 2024.

Please note that due to the large volumes of applications we are receiving, the processing times for AMS U-PASS EXEMPTIONS could range between 15 to 21 business days. W

The UBC regular U-Pass Exemption is separate from the AMS U-Pass exemption.

INFORMATION REGARDING REGULAR U-PASS EXEMPTIONS :

If you meet the regular U-Pass exemption criteria, such as being unable to use the U-Pass due to a disability, you may apply for an exemption by creating a request (SF U-Pass Exemption) in Workday. The deadline to apply for an exemption is Mon, Sep 16, 2024.
